Mirjana “Mika” Ahlgren started her business
in 1995 from her home. Today, she runs three retail shops in Wisconsin
and Minnesota.
Mika came to the United States at age 12 from what
is today Bosnia-Herzegovina (part of the former Yugoslavia). Graduating
from the University of Illinois with a degree in Interior Design,
she worked for an architect firm in downtown Chicago for five
years.
Upon moving to Hayward, WI with her family, she
brought her design talent of creating interior home and office
spaces with products that are both unique and affordable to Northern
Wisconsin. Mika’s look is a special blend of Old World Europe,
Mediterranean, and Up North Lodge that has found a loyal following.
In 2005, her husband Brian joined the business with
the goal of helping it to grow to other areas of the Upper Midwest.
Formerly the CFO for a successful manufacturing company, his financial
expertise along with Mika’s passion for the business make
a formidable team.
The company’s tag line “When You Have
a Passion for Quality” sums up Mika’s feeling for
customer service, products, employees, and the buying experience.

Brian and Mika reside in Hayward, WI with
their three children. Their fervor for family and growing the
